How This Works
Our system will find matches for you
If you are signed in and have entered one of your cars in the Offer A Car section and have saved one of
your
searches in the Find A Car section, our system
will find matches for you.
If you are looking for a car that someone else has and that person is looking for your car, that is
a Two Way Match. You will be notified in the search results.
If you find a car you are looking for but the owner is not interested in your car, maybe that person
is interested in another car whose owner is interested in your car. This is a Three Way
Match, and we find these too.
When car matches are found, you can contact the car owner or a car owner will contact you.
Enter your personal information in the Settings
link in the upper right corner.
Click the Find A Car link
Then list what you are looking for. Be as specific or general as you wish. You can even say whether
you are willing to pay cash or not.
If any of our guests' cars match your criteria they will appear in the search results below.
If you signed up for Swap Your Auto and are logged in, you
can
save your search for later.
When you save your search, other users will be able to find you based on the cars you want.
If another Swap Your Auto user wants a car that you have
entered in the Offer A Car section, our
system
will let you know.
Click on the car image or title for details.
Click the Offer A Car link
Enter a car that you would like to trade.
You can add a description, estimated value, photos and whether you will take cash or not. Either
way,
at a minimum, you must enter a year, make, and model.
If any of our users are looking for that car, their cars will display in the search results.
If you signed up for Swap Your Auto and logged in, you can
save
your car description and photos so other users can find them. Add as many cars as you want.
This is all you need to do. The rest we do. Hopefully you will be contacted by us letting you know a match has
been made. An alternate way is to browse what is being offered in whatever price range your car is in.
